Enrolment in the general module provides the participant with thirty Anatomical Pathology
cases per year for diagnostic assessment. Each case has a virtual microscope image with relevant clinical details, a
macroscopic description of the tissue and other relevant patient information.
Responses are submitted on a standard form via the website before the
closing date for each survey.
Interim results are then available on the website to all enrolled participants.
Assessment results and reports of results containing an analysis of participants' responses are made available on the website and sent to participants after each survey.

TECHNICAL MODULE
Enrolment in this module provides the participant with five cases per year in the area of Technical
Procedures of a histopathology laboratory. Exercises assessing proficiency
in routine and special staining, tissue processing and sectioning are
included. One case is a laboratory practice questionnaire.
Assessment results and reports of results containing an analysis of participants' responses are made available on the website and sent to participants after each survey.
TRANSMISSION ELECTRON MICROSCOPY
Enrolment in this module provides the participant with up to four cases,
both technical and diagnostic in the area of
Transmission Electron Microscopy, with emphasis on renal pathology.
One technical case is a request for a submission of electron micrographs of a specified clinical nature.

IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY MODULES
Four modules are available in the area of immunohistochemistry.
IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY DIAGNOSTIC MODULE
Enrolment in this module provides the participant with five cases per year in the area of
Immunohistochemistry staining. Four cases with relevant clinical details, a macroscopic
description of the tissue and other relevant patient information are
provided. Multiple unstained slides are provided for staining with
immunohistochemical markers to enable the pathologist to make a diagnosis on the case.

HER2 BRISH certification module
This module is available to laboratories so individual pathologists can
obtain certification for Bright Field In Situ Hybridization testing for
HER2. (Bright Field In Situ Hybridization refers to testing such as
chromogenic or silver ISH but not fluorescent ISH techniques). This module
can be used to meet Australian certification requirements of the testing
procedure.
HER2 BRISH cases consist of extensive questionnaires and
unstained slides to test the interpretative skills and technical knowledge
of the pathologist.
